Every device sold on SaleOldComputer.com comes with a clear, simple warranty. We test and refurbish devices and back them with 30–90 days warranty depending on the product page.

What the Warranty Covers

Our warranty covers manufacturing and hardware defects discovered during normal use. Software issues caused by pre-installed OS are covered when stated on the product page.

Covers CPU, motherboard, RAM failures, storage faults (excluding user-caused damage). If a covered defect is confirmed, we repair or replace the device at our discretion.

Battery health is stated on each laptop. Battery issues within the warranty period are covered for replacement or repair. Display dead pixels beyond manufacturer limits are covered.

Warranty does not cover accidental physical damage, water damage, unauthorized repairs, or negligence. See full Terms & Conditions for complete exclusions.

Upgrade to 6 or 12 months extended warranty at checkout for eligible devices (fees apply). Extended warranty covers the same items as the standard warranty.

How a Warranty Claim Works

1. Open a Claim

Use our warranty lookup above or start a claim via the Contact page. Provide order number, photos, and a short description.

2. Inspection

We evaluate photos and run remote diagnostics. If necessary, ship the device to our service center for physical inspection.

3. Repair or Replace

If defect is covered, we repair or replace the device. If not covered, we provide an estimate for repair or return options.

4. Return Delivery

We ship the repaired or replacement device back, and you receive tracking details. For returns, refunds follow our Returns policy below.

Returns & Refunds Policy

Return Window

Most eligible items can be returned within 7–14 days of delivery. Items must be in the same condition as received. Some clearance or final-sale items are not eligible—see product page for exceptions.

Refund Processing

Refunds are processed within 5 business days after inspection. Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Shipping charges are refundable only if return is due to our error or a covered defect.

Shipping for Returns

We provide pre-paid return labels for warranty-covered returns. For non-covered repairs, we will provide a shipping quote. Always securely pack devices using adequate padding.

Replacement & Repair

If repair is not feasible, we provide a replacement or refund per the warranty decision. Replacement devices may be refurbished equivalent models.
